Gigi Hadid Takes the Twisted Logomania Trend to Another Level
Gigi Hadid just took logomania to a whole new level. The model made an IRL case for the red-hot runway trend, stepping out in a The Mighty Company white bomber jacket emblazoned with a makeshift take on the traditional Adidas logo that had been adjusted to, instead, reflect a brand more in step with her own: Hadidas. (The front of the jacket read Gigi in a more traditional Pink Ladies–style script.)
And who could blame her? Vetements has been churning out their own incarnations of Champion hoodies since Spring 2016, and the brother and sister design duo behind the Tel Aviv–based label Urban Sophistication have struck a chord on social media by putting their pop-culture spin on tees with comical customizations on Hermès, Iron Maiden, and Slayer insignia. Even Gigi’s sister Bella recently got in on the action, slipping into a fortuitously printed tourist tee that read Ciao Bella for a heavily Instagrammed pizza lunch with fellow model Mica Arganaraz in Rome. That’s one way to make sure that nobody forgets your name.
